Crochet for the Bathroom
You may be familiar with crocheted clothes, accessories and blankets but what about crochet in your bathroom? Here are some lovely accessories to add atouch of luxury to bathtime.
Towel trim, washcloth and soap saver - Adding a crochet trim to a fluffy towel gives it a sense of luxury and can help make a plain towel match you décor. Choose a pattern you like (mine combines a row of double crochet stitches with a bobble row) and make the trim long enough to fit the width of your towel. Do one for each end of the towel. The washcloth is made with a pattern of 2 dc in alternate stitches giving it a textured finish that is great for exfoliating. The soap saver bag is a nifty idea. Fill with those odds and ends of soap as a way of using every last bit or use a bar of your favourite brand. The textured pattern is also exfoliating.
Cotton bud pot, coaster and tea light holder trim - These little accessories are easy to make from odds and ends of yarn but have a stunning effect to make your bathroom a little bit more luxurious. The tea light trim is worked as a round of shells but if your holder doesn't have straight side then it will need to be graduated. The coaster is simply trebles with a three chain space in the corners. The pot is worked in rounds of dc, reversing the direction for the turnover.
All of these items were crocheted in a cotton DK yarn.
